Sometimes when I go out in public right after a hard workout I just want to apologize to everyone around me for how bad I smell
I dug my old bike out of storage in hopes of riding it to work and back now that the weather is getting warmer (save money on gas!) and decided to take it for a little spin just now to see if all the parts still work. Changing gears was a little scary at times (the switch to and from fourth gear for some reason makes it feel like the whole bike is locking up) but most importantly, the breaks still work.
Sadly the weather is going to be shitty all next week :\ But maybe some day.
25 min. 3.5 miles per hour (in five minute intervals)
10 minutes 5.0 mph (also in five minute intervals)
6 minutes 8.0 mph (in two minute intervals)
Kind of impressed to see that my stamina didn’t suffer too much over the past few months of no running. I doubt I could run for 25 minutes straight like I used to, but I didn’t feel like I was dying at the end of each 5 minute jogging interval.
I did, however, feel like I was dying after running for two minutes at 8 mph. But I expected that.
I think I’ll keep doing sprints like I did today. I enjoyed it more than jogging…
I had some bananas that were going ripe too quickly for my liking, so I googled some recipes and made paleo banana bread. It’s ~fabulous~ and so far the only paleo baked good I’ve made that didn’t turn out horribly.
Planning on going running tomorrow, for the first time in a very long time. (I stopped running for a while and exclusively did weights rather than both because I suddenly stopped liking cardio lol) But we’ll see how I feel tomorrow when I get up.
It’s my day off and I’m about to celebrate by going to the gym and lifting all the weights. I haven’t gone in over a week due to this and that excuse so I’m pretty stoked!
How does one log “moving out of my parents’ house” as an exercise in MFP
New PR on my bent-over barbell rows: 85 lbs. I think I could do more though, so next time I’ll try 90.
